Incandescent lamps will see a majority of electric energy be converted into heat and only one percent or even less will be converted to useful light energy when incandescent lamps are working. The higher the temperature of the filament is, the brighter the light will be. That is why it is called incandescent light. Therefore, incandescent lamps seem to be unable to reflect the true color of the objects.
The longevity of incandescent lamps is closely related to the temperature of the filament. The reason is that, the higher the temperature is, the more likely it will sublimate. So, the higher the efficiency of the incandescent lamps is, the shorter their longevity will be.
